Classic Game Room HD – MAD CATZ PS3 Wiireless Gamepad review
25 CommentsClassic Game Room HD reviews MAD CATZ Playstation 3 Wireless Gamepad controller for the PS3. This Mad Catz controller is very similar to the Sony brand Sixaxis controller but with some stand out differences. For starters, it runs on 2 AA batteries. It is larger, heavier and has triggers that actually feel like triggers for the L2 and R2 buttons. Overall build quality is high and gameplay is pretty much the same. This Classic Game Room HD hardware review looks closely at the Mad Catz …

At 0:21,that’s a PS3 controller? I’ve never seen one,it looks exactly like a PS2 controller except for that circle thing, and the ’sticks are bulkier..

Usually I stay away from 3rd party controllers, but it looks like MadCatz has combined the best of the 360 and PS3 controllers.

i juts leave my 360 controllers on the chargers, u can still play while they’re charging n just pull the charger out, that is if he has the microsoft brand charge, if he has the 1 u hav to sit on the charger or take the batteries out then thats a flaw 4 him, but not for others who hav the microsoft brand

you can use a PS3 gamepad on your PC with a Sixaxis/Dualshock 3 Driver good for PSX/PS2 emulation.

NO six-Axis motion control, No Rumble, no – multi-pressure sensitive buttons , yeah each button tiragnle, circle, x and square all have different degrees of pressure that registers different in the games…PS2 had this as well. Xbox doesn’t and something tells me they copied off the xbox controller for this in every way, which is an instant non-buy in my eyes. Again, No Six-Axis motion, No Rumble, AA Batteries, Bulky, Bad D-pad and non-pressure buttons == Your missing out on 1/3 functionality.

MadCatz is pretty much a hit or miss company, I have a MadCatz controller that has worked for years, and still to this day, however I remember buying a same model at the same time as the other one and it broke in a week, I never understood why though… I guess you just have to get lucky with each individual controller or product that you buy, and hope that it won’t break down too quickly… =/
