Classic Game Room HD – RED DEAD REDEMPTION review
25 CommentsClassic Game Room HD reviews RED DEAD REDEMPTION from Rockstar Games for PS3 Playstation 3, also available for Xbox 360. It’s like GTA in the Wild West with superb production values and an awesome Western inspired plot. Play as John Marston who takes up arms against former comrades and blasts his way through the West in RDR Red Dead Redemption.

@AgentMAS uhm… i guess you don’t do research, then again, maybe it’s better if you don’t. it is a fact that the 360 version is.. “superior” by a bit, that’s a simply and straight on FACT, but the ps3 makes up for that by having exclusive content. the 360 version has less pop in, more vegitation, better AA, and often a slightly better frame rate. also unlike ps3 version which has 2XAA if i remember, rdr on 360 has 4XAA , which makes for less jaggies

@jhak1341 well for me, mgs4, uncharted 1/2, god of war 3, mass effect 2, gears 2, killzone 2 (and soon 3) , guild wars and crysis 1 on pc, were all better experiences then rdr…. but then again that’s just my opinion.

@gtafan110010 I’m not sure about ps3. as the ps3 has no AA. wich means games that don’t want jagged edges need to have AA in the engine.

@BigdogWitBigdog lal neither ps3 or 360 have AA out of the box. the aa is both in the engine. it’s just that the ps3 structure takes a little time to get used to, which is why in some cases/games, the ps3 has worse anti aliasing, a few examples being, rdr, gta 4, lost planet. but really lost planet was an early game so i can forgive that, and rockstar just has heavy games, seems like they just don’t have enough time to make better AA. other games on ps3 have great AA though (kz3, gow3, crysis2)

@gtafan110010 yes the xbox 360 does have AA. the ps3 doesn’t. you want real AA check out crysis 1 on PC. not the dumbed downe for console crysis 2.

@gtafan110010 if you’re talking about graphics, the ps3 does have better graphics. better hardware=better graphics. take for example uncharted 2 and metal gear solid 4. but i wasnt talking about graphics i was just talking about gameplay, there is no difference in gameplay between consoles.

@BigdogWitBigdog lol both have AA in the released games… both ps3 and 360, in fact most 360 games use AAx4, while the more recent ps3 games use MLAA, which is better…, then again, the ps3 games of about 3 years old has bad AA, or 2XAA, so you could say their about even now. and the console version of crysis 2 won’t have to much jaggies, you won’t notice them to much bcz the console is a lower resolution on it’s own, meaning the AA isn’t as clear, as when playing say crysis 1 on 1080p (+)

@AgentMAS i see what you mean now, sorry i thought you were talking about the graphics. also don’t make the blind assumption the ps3’s graphics are automatically better, because it’s tech is more advanced. (btw don’t mention mgs4 as a graphically good game, it isn’t, it just has good character models, that’s it). The 360 has graphically better multiplat games, because it’s easier to develop for, higher resolution, better aa, frame rate, etc. though ps3 exclusives look better (gow3, u2, kz2)

Great Storyline? lol……

BigdogWitBigdog said on August 15th, 2010 at 12:53 am
@gtafan110010 no. I’m serious ps3 does not have built in AA. nor does it have mlAA

Tonyrocks5 said on August 15th, 2010 at 12:58 am
@gtafan110010 the system has nothing to do with graphics, its the game itself that controls that.

@IHIoMiCiDe
Yeah. It had a great storyline.
You wanna provide evidence to the contrary?

@IHIoMiCiDe I always thought it was funny how trolls like you enjoy making condescending comments about other people views, while never backing their own views.
I’m asking you to provide evidence for your statement.
I’m asking you what are the standards of good storytelling[[you don't know this, your comment is an indication of this]] and what violates those standards of good storytelling. Then I want you to point out how red dead redemption does so.
