@crossbone999
No it doesn’t. The PS3 instruction manual tells you how to change out the HDD.

@eachanmom
in theory, a 7200rpm HDD should run faster and smoother. i’ve read in different blogs and forums of people who say they’ve experienced a slow down of their ps3 after using a 7200 rpm HDD. the original HDD in the ps3 is at 5400 rpm. the drive I put on my ps3 is at 7200 rpm. so far, so good. ^__^ so it’s really your call.

@Sebritoh
from what i know, there were only three ps3 models that had PS2 backwards compatability; Models: CECHA01, CECHB01, CECHE01. I believe thats the original first two models, 60GB & 20GB, and the 80GB models respectively. every PS3 model that is not one of those 3, does not play PS2 games. basically, if you want a PS3 that can play a PS2 game, your best bet is eBay and you’re gonna have to pony up some extra money… (@__@)

My ps3 is a Cech-2003B.
I honestly want to tryout some ps2 games that are dear to me and others that I have never played.
Is it possible to DOWNLOAD or PAY for example “crash nitro kart” which is a ps2 game through the playstation store?Afterwards when the downloaded game is complete, can the game be played easily onto the ps3?

@worlddomin523 yeah, but you need to buy a 1st party HDD for 360, you can use any 2.5″ SATA in a PS3

@darkveroth No theres an option for you to back up all your ps3 data in the system settings. You just need an external harddrive that can fit all of ur data in :]
