  • Classic Game Room reviews BLOOD DRIVE for Playstation 3 PS3 video game console (also available for Xbox 360), a post-apocalyptic zombie-slaughtering automobile combat game. Drive cars straight outta Mad Max and Road Warrior in gladiator style duels against other rides and waves of zombies! Various arena style events like Zombie Roadkill, checkpoint races and “keep the skull” (or whatever it’s called) keep gameplay tight and ferocious albeit repetitive after a while. Controls take a bit of time to get used to but work well once mastered and the battlegrounds themselves are moderately interesting and chock full o’ zombies. This CGR review of Blood Drive has gameplay from Blood Drive in the review showing videogame game play of Blood Drive from Activision on PS3, also available for Xbox 360.

  • Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Nail’d from Techland and Deep Silver for the PlayStation 3. Nail’d is also available for the Xbox 360 and PC. Released in late 2010, Nail’d is an off-road racing game that’s all about maxing speeds and getting air. Nail’d is an arcade-style racer in the vein of games like Pure and Excitetruck, an over-the-top exercise in driving up mountains and jumping hot-air balloons. The game feels like a total arcade throwback, but depending on your tastes, that might not be a good thing. The premise is simple in Nail’d — wait for the word “go,” hit the gas. Driving a four-wheeler or a dirt bike, it’s a white-knuckle race to the finish against your extreme peers, but what sets Nail’d apart is its arcade gameplay. This video review features video gameplay footage of Nail’d for the PlayStation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

  • Classic Game Room reviews MAYHEM for Playstation 3 PS3, also available for Xbox 360. This vehicular driving combat game has a comic book “noir” style and even comes with paper 3D glasses for an option 3D effect (you’ll want to play in standard 2D anyway).

  • Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Slam Bolt Scrappers from Fire House Games, a downloadable game for the PlayStation 3. If nothing else, Slam Bolt Scrappers is a unique idea. In fact, it’s a collection of unique ideas, a heaping pile of bolts and scrap metal you’d never expect to see piled together. It combines the falling-block puzzle mechanics of Tetris with simple beat ‘em up combat, and it pours those seemingly immiscible components over a bizarre game of tower defense. Slam Bolt Scrappers spends its ample energy sampling as many genres and conventions as it can…without mastering any of them. This video review features video gameplay footage of Slam Bolt Scrappers for the PlayStation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

  • Classic Game Room HD reviews BLACKLIGHT TANGO DOWN for Xbox 360 (also available for PC and Playstation 3 PS3). While Blacklight Tango Down won’t blow you away with any new innovations or fancy gimmiks its solid, dependable and familiar gameplay during multiplayer will keep shooter fans happy. Blacklight: Tango Down is a first person shooter that is a download game from XBLA (PC and PS3) showing that you don’t need to be a full price, expensive packaged game to have awesome gameplay. The game takes place in the future with Halo-esque soldiers shooting each other with machine guns, shotguns and sniper rifles. It comes with a short campaign and numerous multiplayer maps. CGR enjoyed the multiplayer because of its simplicity and old school style maps. This CGR review of Blacklight Tango Down has gameplay from the FPS Blacklight Tango Down from Zombie and Ignition showing Blacklight Tango Down game play in HD.
