Fight Night Champion excels in the graphics department with fighters that look exactly like their real-life human being counterparts. Those more into traditional videogame fighting games like Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat and Tekken 6 may not enjoy the attempt at a more realistic approach to the boxing style, but with a variety of difficulty levels Fight Night Champion can be played by anyone from button mashers to aficionados. Play friends online, kick ass in a pick up and play mode or plow through the Rocky meets Penitentiary storyline. Fighters include Mohammed Ali, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Oscar De La Hoya and many more. The ultimate racing simulator returns for the full version of Gran Turismo 5, a PS3 exclusive with over 1000 cars, dozens of tracks, a course editor, online gameplay and much more. But does it live up to the excellent earlier installments in the series like GT2, GT3 and the amazing Gran Turismo 4? Pretentious menus and soothing music seem awkward and out of place but the gameplay is fast, smooth and ferocious. Level up to experience everything but prepare to spend half of your life doing it. Gran Turismo 5 is basically more of the same but optimized for Playstation 3 with HD visuals and silky smooth driving game play. For the rest of us who enjoy pushing plastic buttons Rock Band 3 remains very similar to Rock Band 2 and works with the awesome Rock Band music store (as well as many tracks from previous games). New challenges and a new career mode await you as well as trophies and achievement points. Songs included with Rock Band 3 range from 80’s pop hits by the Cure, Big Country, INXS and Huey Lewis and the News as well as metal tracks from Anthrax and Dio. This Mortal Kombal vs DC Universe review features gameplay footage from the game in HD. This is an awesome fighting 3D fighting game, no way around it. From Midway, Warner Bros. and DC Comics comes this bizarre yet enjoyable combination of the Mortal Kombat franchise and the DC comic book characters like Superman, Batman, Lex Luther, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern and Catwoman. The Mortal Kombat characters that you know and love are here for mortal combat including Raiden, Sonya Blade, Jax, Scorpion, Sub Zero and Liu Chang. Which universe will you choose to fight in? That’s the beauty of this game, fight a parallel storyline with one of two opposing sides. The writing in this game is campy, impossible and awesome. Fatality moves for Mortal Kombat and DC characters are in the game, and although the violence has been toned down a bit with DC Heroic Brutality (seriously??), the Fatality moves are fun to watch and nicely rendered in 3D animation. In many ways this is a superior game, Mortal Kombat vs. Soul Calibur IV or Virtua Fighter 5… who wins? CGRHD likes this game better, short and easy to memorize button combos, great gameplay and that awesome mixture of DC and MK characters.
